Private First Class Doran Goldfarb was killed in action on April 30, 1945 in Berglern, Germany. Born on August 17, 1925 to Gerald and Lilly Goldfarb, the family resided in
Saginaw. Goldfarb attended the University of Michigan prior to enlisting. He earned the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star during his service in the United States Army Infantry. Post 727 in Saginaw, MI was named for him.
