The Jewish War Veterans Department of Michigan—Charles Kaye (Z”L) Scholarship Foundation (JWV-MI--Kaye Foundation) was formed in 2025 to promote postsecondary school education of Michigan residents that identify as Jewish and are either veterans or descendents of Jewish veterans. Scholarships will recognize academic and leadership excellence among Jewish students, encourage commitment to and service in the Nation’s armed forces, and encourage membership in the Department of Michigan of the Jewish War Veterans of the United States of America.
For academic year 2026-2027 we intend to award separate scholarships to best qualified applicants as follows:
The deadline for submission of applications is April 30, 2026. Recipients will be notified by June 15, 2026, and awards will be announced not later than June 30, 2026. Awards will be distributed directly to the school the awardee will attend. Failure to meet standards of the institution in which enrolled in the academic year for which the grant is made requires pay-back of the grant in its entirety.
The application form and additional application criteria will be available here in early 2026.
